Timeboss project page

Timeboss is standalone desktop application that always asks you what and how long will you be doing. When the time is spent it asks again. All activity is logged to xml files so you will have genuine timesheet of your time facing your computer. There is an exporter that exports your activity to CSV table.

Timeboss is written in Java and should work on all platforms that are supported by Java 6.

Timeboss is free software hosted on Sourceforge.

Timeboss handles the Ext-4 data loss problem fine by design :-)

You can download and use Timeboss in less than five minutes!

A real life sequence:
  1. Tell Timeboss that you will work on issue #42 for 15 minutes
  2. After 10 minutes you finish with issue #42 and start with issue #66
  3. After 5 more minutes on #66 timeboss will ask you what you are doing. You say you are working on #66 for about 5 minutes and will be working on it for more 15 minutes.
  4. After 10 more minutes a friend calls you on phone. You press not working on Timeboss.
  5. Later you export this period. You will see that you worked 10 minutes on #42 and 15 minutes on #66. Actually the truth.
